John Grisham

“Author of page-turning legal thrillers”

John Grisham was a Mississippi lawyer when he first began writing. His first novel, A Time to Kill was inspired by the real-life testimony of a 12 year old rape victim and a “what-if” scenario developed in his imagination.

Since first publishing A Time To Kill in 1988, Grisham has written one novel a year, and all of them have become bestsellers.

John Grisham’s bestselling thrillers include The King of Torts, The Firm, The Summons, The Pelican Brief, The Rainmaker, The Testament, A Time to Kill, The Chamber, The Client, The Runaway Jury, The Partner, The Street Lawyer, and The Brethren.

Other notable books include A Painted House, and recently, Skipping Christmas.
