DETECTIVE DATA

Name of Detective:
Wilhelmina Cecelia Zukas, sometimes called Helma. You may call me Miss Zukas

Sidekick:
Ruth Winthrop, oversized artist with a penchant for difficult living. We'd die for each other but remaining in one another's company for more than an hour is quite exhausting.

Hometown:
Emigrated from Scoop River, Michigan to Bellehaven, Washington, a leap of miles and cultures.

Age:
What makes you think I'm aged?

Occupation:
Librarian of Excellence.

How did...
How did you get involved in sleuthing? It's a mystery to me. I always mind my own business, always. But librarians have access to all knowledge in the universe, which can occasionally draw them into curious situations.

Pet Peeves:
Knuckle cracking, gum chewing, messy murders, bad indexing, MARC records.

Role Model:
Dorothy Gale

Hobbies:
Cutting things out, long walks by the bay.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
Stubborn curl on the left side of my head. I'm the same size I was in high school.

Marital Status:
Surely you know what the word "Miss" means.

Quote:
"Oh Faulkner!"
