Richard H. Kline
William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Richard Krenna, and Ted Danson
A small-town Florida lawyer (Hurt) becomes involved in a murder plot with the wife (Turner) of a high-rolling, mob-connected businessman. This film, basically a remake of Double Indemnity, reeks atmosphere from the hazy photography to the torrid love scenes between Hurt and Turner to the evocative score by John Barry.
This was both director Kasdan and actress Turner’s first film.
